Falling in Love with Fall

I’m not a fan of winter. I hate being cold and since I commute by bike all year round, I prefer the temperate seasons of spring and fall. Personally, my favorite season is summer because of the freedom it allows me, both on the bicycle and off.  Autumn is such a bittersweet season. It’s the end of summer. It’s the bulk of the harvest season. Autumn means that winter is just around the corner. But the spectacular display of nature in the fall in the northeast is just heaven. The foilage this year is beautiful, thanks to a dry hot summer. There’s only a week or two more to experience it before the leaves drop. If you’re anywhere near NYC or upstate NY, get on your bike and drink in the glory.

Just a little FYI in case you’re looking for a leisurely ride, to see these views you need to haul your bike and your butt up a mountain. Come on up anyway. There is no shame in pushing.

This is my peace, this is my nirvana. This view.

Those are the Catskills in the distance. They are 50 miles away.
