Snapshots of an Evening on the Loisaida

When I moved to NYC in 1989, my first apartment was on the Lower East Side, also known as Alphabet City or Loisaida. I’ve lived in many neighborhoods (and even another continent) since then, but in spirit this is still ‘my NYC neighborhood’. Last night, I met up with my friend Nona Varnado (former #bikenyc, now based in LA) for dinner and drinks in the old neighborhood. Good times. As neighborhoods evolve, some things change and others remain the same. In terms of change, I’ll never grow tired of the increasing number of people on bikes. That damn Bike Lobby keeps growing bigger and more beautiful every day. Took a few pics. Enjoy.
